Signs You Need Professional Crack Repair
Concrete cracks fall into a handful of categories. The right repair depends on which one you have — and a quick on-site assessment tells us which.
Cracks Wider Than a Credit Card
Cracks over 1.5 mm let water reach the rebar. They need to be sealed before the next freeze-thaw cycle to prevent corrosion damage.
Cracks That Open and Close Seasonally
Active/moving cracks need flexible polyurethane injection, not rigid epoxy. Wrong product = repeat failure.
Water Leaking Through a Foundation Crack
Wet basement walls during heavy rain almost always trace back to one or two foundation cracks. Polyurethane injection from inside the basement seals the crack permanently.
Cracks With Rust Stains
Brown/orange staining around or out of a crack means rebar corrosion has started. The repair window narrows quickly — call sooner rather than later.
Cracks Across Garage Floors or Driveways
These almost always allow road-salt brine to reach the slab interior. Sealed cracks save the slab thickness; unsealed cracks compound.
Network or Map Cracking
Multiple intersecting fine cracks usually indicate a weak or shrinkage-cracked surface paste — sometimes resolvable with a polymer overlay rather than crack-by-crack injection.

How We Get It Right The First Time

Crack Classification
We assess crack width, movement (active vs. dormant), depth, location (slab vs. wall), and whether water is actively penetrating. The classification dictates the product choice — there is no one-size-fits-all crack repair.

Surface Cleaning & Routing (When Required)
Concrete on either side of the crack is cleaned. Wide cracks may be V-grooved at the surface to provide a clean injection path; foundation cracks are typically injected through surface ports without grooving.

Port Installation
Injection ports (small plastic fittings) are bonded along the crack at calculated intervals — close enough that resin reaches every point of the crack at injection pressure.

Surface Sealing
Between ports, the surface of the crack is sealed with a fast-cure paste so injection pressure forces resin into the depth of the crack rather than back out the front.

Pressure Injection
Resin is injected starting at the lowest port, working upward (or end-to-end on slabs), until each subsequent port shows resin coming through. This confirms the resin has filled the crack at depth, not just the surface.

Cure, Port Removal, Finish
Once cured, ports are knocked off, the surface paste is ground flush, and the area is finished to match. The crack is now structurally bonded (epoxy) or flexibly sealed (polyurethane).
